 Door Mat by ToEachTheirOwnHome Yep! You read that right, the Treadwells have purchased a home during the 2020 pandemic. Towards the end of last year Marcus and I declared that this year was going to be the year we purchased our own home. With no money in the bank and poor credit we sat down and started to plan. We didn’t know where to start but we knew we needed to save money and work on our credit, so we began doing this at the beginning of 2020. Then the pandemic hit, and the world was put on pause. However, we didn’t believe our goals had to be put on pause, so we continued to work and pray. “Faith without works is dead James 2:26” I am not going to sit here and tell you a story about how easy this process was because it was not. It took four long months, lots of sleepless nights, lots of happy and sad tears, prayer and a whole lot of faith. I found myself reminding Marcus and at times myself that living in faith every day is not just a saying but an action. You live in faith through everything you do whether be at work, home, school, the way you carry yourself, the way your home feels and the way you cook. Faith is in everything you do and to be completely honest this year that saying, “living in faith every day,” unfolded right before my eyes. We went from having no money in the bank and poor credit in December to saving enough money and improving our credit in 6 months. Now we are officially homeowners! God is so good! No matter what is going on around you I encourage you today to remain faithful and continue to believe that you will reach your goals. Continue to work for what you want regardless if the world gets put on pause. Remain diligent and believe that “God will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4.” I am excited to hear about your 2020 and how it was the year of manifestation!
