It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The time where families get together to mingle. Some of you spend your time going to the store and shopping for your loved ones or if your like me, we spend our time online shopping. Some may have a specific list and others may just buy from the heart. The biggest question is what do you get mom? What do you get someone who gives all of her without asking for anything?

What does a mom really want for Christmas?

I’ll tell you....

  1. Sleep
Regardless how old her kids are a mom truly never gets enough sleep. This Christmas try waking up before her and letting her sleep in as long as she needs to, uninterrupted. If you want to give her something tangible, get her a soft throw that she can cuddle up with while she sleeps in.

  1. A day to Herself
This is not an act of selfishness. Moms truly need a day to themselves. Sometimes we are not physically tired but mentally tired! Our mind is always racing because there is always something to do. So husbands either take the kids out and leave her at home or tell her to go out alone. For a tangible gift get her a gift card for a massage or to get her hands and feet done. While she’s out take care of the chores so she doesn’t have to when she gets back. She will truly appreciate it.

  1. A BABYSITTER
When do you think was the last time mom and dad had a date night? A great dual gift for mom and dad is a night out with no kids! Mom and dad work long hours to make sure they can provide for their kids and then get home to physically take care of them. There is really no time for mom and dad. So throw in a gift card for dinner or a movie and you are all set.

As you can tell all of these gifts may seem simple but they mean a whole lot. These gifts show appreciation and love. You don’t necessarily have to give something tangible or expensive, your thought and time is priceless. So for this holiday season if your running out of ideas for mom or the budget is tight. Give her something priceless... TIME.

I hope you everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Love Jo
